The roads in Britain are worse than those found in Cyprus, Chile and Oman despite road tax payments totalling almost £40 million every year.

According to the World Economic Forum, the UK’s road quality is ranked 27th in the world, placing it below Japan and Korea.

A number of pranksters in the Lancashire have taken a series of photos to illustrate the scale of the problem in their attempts. By bathing and scuba diving in potholes, the residents are hoping to embarrass local authorises and central government into action.
